Oversee the Government Relations Committee, Community Relations Committee, Education Committee, and Japanese American National Library Committee (ad hoc)


Government Relations Committee

Mission: The Government Relations Committee helps to promote mutual understanding between Japanese businesses and various government agencies by creating and maintaining a connection and network between JCCNC members and local/State government entities.

The Government Relations Committee achieves this mission by:
- Planning regular visits for JCCNC members to government agencies in Sacramento
- Collecting information and preparing reports to share with members and government officials during visits
- Collaborating with the Japan Business Association of Southern California (JBA)
- Informing JCCNC members through updates on the website and JCCNC News about information shared during agency visits and other important governmental concerns relevant to the JCCNC membership


Community Relations Committee

Mission: The Community Relations Committee works to make the JCCNC an active and integral part of local Japanese and Japanese-American communities, to contribute and support programs that promote Japanese culture, arts and language, and promote goodwill within ethnic community organizations.

The Community Relations Committee achieves this mission by:
- Supporting Japanese-American organizations and programs in the greater San Francisco Bay Area
- Maintaining close ties and open communications with San Francisco and San Jose Japantown leaders and organizations
- Increasing interaction and exposure with other ethnic communities outside of the Japanese American Community


Education Committee

Mission: The Education Committee promotes the expansion of Japanese language and culture through educational activities within the community

The Education Committee achieves this mission by:
- Acting as a liaison between JCCNC and the San Francisco Japanese School (Hoshuuko)
- Serving as an advisor to the San Francisco Japanese School
- Providing support to the San Francisco Japanese School


Japanese American National Library Committee (ad hoc)

Mission: The Japanese American National Library Committee (ad hoc) supports the Japanese American National Library in its efforts to preserve primary and secondary source materials related to Japanese Americans.

The Japanese American National Library Committee (ad hoc) achieves this mission by:
- Assisting with the tidying-up and organization of the Japanese American National Library
- Establishing and maintaining a Japan Business Section in the library
- Digitizing and filing Japanese American newspapers and articles related to business news and activities (dated before 1950)
